“Learning to do it every day”

What some people don’t want to understand is that doing something every single day takes time.

It takes commitment.

It takes something that most of us don’t have.

Something learned.

But most of us don’t want to learn it.

We’re happy sitting at home watching our tv’s instead: do you know why?

Because doing something every day is hard and most of us don’t have the dicipline to do it.

“Suspect”

You suspect.

You presume.

What is it you want to say? Huh, tell me, please.

What do you want to say?

What do you suspect me of?

What do you presume I’ve done?

Huh? Tell me, please.

I want to know.

And if you can’t answer me then I won’t sit here and listen to you any longer.

“Dreaming wasn’t enough”

Thinking about it wasn’t enough anymore.

I had to do it.

I had to act on my thoughts.

In my fantasies.

I’d been trying my best to bury my thoughts.

Bury them so far inside me that I wouldn’t even remember that they were there.

But I wasn’t able to.

Finally, the day came when fantasy wasn’t enough.

And I had to act.

“I like the changes”

I like the new changes.

I must say I really like them.

But there are a few things that I don’t like.

Things they removed from the old version.

Things I’ve been using for a long time.

But hey, I guess I’ll have to learn to live with change.

Learn these new additions and forget about the old ones.

So my final thoughts are that I like it.

I like the change.

But I would have kept a few things.

“Hunting us in the night”

Somehow I made it out of it in one piece.

I don’t know how.

I was lucky.

Others weren’t.

Ten people started the journey and I was the only one to finish it.

How I don’t know.

Luck is what I keep telling people when they ask, but I know different.

There was something out there in the night, hunting us, feeding off our fear.

And that thing picked us off one by one until there was only one left.

Me.

I’m sure he’s coming for me one day.

“Sick of it”

I keep trying.

Over and over again.

I keep trying.

But I never get it right.

There’s always something going wrong when it’s ready to be tested.

Always, without fail, there’s something going wrong.

I’m sick of it.

I’m sick of trying to do the same thing over and over again and never being able to get it right.

“Nothing’s the same”

Nothing’s the same anymore.

We don’t have the same things we used to have.

Not the same house.

Or the same jobs.

We do still have each other, that hasn’t changed.

Even if it’s a miracle on its own.

I wonder where we went wrong.

When we stopped caring about the direction our lives were taking.

I wonder if we could have stopped the decline.

I wonder if there was anything we could have done.
