“The skills I’ve learned”

Nothing would come of it but I did it anyway.

I worked and I worked until I could work no longer and I knew nothing would come of my work.

But I still did it.

I still showed up every day and did what they told me to do because I knew that the skills I was learning would come in handy one day.

And they did.

Boy, did they come in handy.
