“Making things right”

He tried so hard to make it right but there was nothing he could do that would make people forget the person he once was.

There was nothing he could do.

He’d crossed a line that you couldn’t turn back from.

So no matter how hard he tried people wouldn’t forgive him.

They weren’t going to forget.

And he had to understand that before he could move on and become the man he knew in his heart he was.

There was no forgiveness for him.

But he could spend the rest of his life trying his best to make things right.
