“Nothing I could do”

She thought something was wrong.

She thought someone was coming for us.

None was, it was all in her mind.

She couldn’t turn off the thoughts in her head and they kept getting worse and worse.

There was nothing I could do, no matter how hard I tried to help her I was in over my head.

She needed help but she didn’t understand that herself.

She was convinced something really was wrong and I just didn’t see it.

I tried to get her help but there was only so much I could do.

And in the end, I’d done all I could.
