“Crying was the only thing left”

Crying seemed to be the only thing left to do.

I’d already been angry.

Already laughed.

There wasn’t anything left to do.

Except cry.

Cry because she really was gone.

Cry because I would never see her again.

Or talk to her.

Cry because I had lost the only person I had ever loved.

And probably the only person I ever will love.
