“I’ll tell you mine”

Everyone has a guilty pleasure.

Something they enjoy but are ashamed of.

You know what I’m talking about.

Everyone has one.

I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.

“I should have helped”

“You won’t even consider it?”
“Not if I can help it.”

I shouldn’t have been so rude.

I should have helped him.

Maybe then he would still be here, coming up with his insane plans.

If only I would have helped him.

Told him “yes, I will consider it,” instead of no.

I should have considered it.

And I would have helped him.

Because it wasn’t such an insane idea this time.

This time it was a good idea.

And I blew him off.

“Sometimes you have to keep going”

Sometimes it becomes hard to keep going.

But you have to do it anyway.

You have to keep going.

No matter what’s going to happen in the future.

No matter if you’re going to make it.

Or go down with the ship.

You have to do it.

Because you never know what’s going to happen.

Not really.

So hang in there, keep going.

And don’t let anyone stop you.

“All the difference”

”Who did it?” I asked.

I should have asked ”Why they did it,” it would have helped me more.

Maybe if I’d asked the right questions I would have been able to solve it.

Solve the case that was going to make my career.

But I asked, ”Who did it?”

Instead of ”Why did they do it?”

And that made all the difference.

“Get in there”

Get in there.

Do it.

Don’t let anyone tell you, you’re not ready.

You won’t ever be ready.

You have to get in there.

You have to do it.

Otherwise, you will never be ready.

So, don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do.

Because you can do anything you want.

All you have to do is get in there and do it.

“None will find me”

I doubt anyone will ever find me.

Not all the way out here.

There’s no way.

They can’t find me here.

And yet I’m scared.

Scared that one day I’ll open my door and there they are.

Waiting for me, handcuffs out, ready to take me back.

Take me back home.

Back to the scene of the crime.

I’m scared of that day.

Even though I know they will never find me here.

Out here in my own private paradise.

“I’d seen people”

It was there, among the horrifying crowd of drunken, drugged out of their minds, young people that I saw what people really are.

I saw it on their faces as they walked passed, spilling their drinks.

Or when I saw those who’d had too much sitting in dark corners drooling all over themselves.

That’s when I saw what people really were.

I could be wrong, of course, I was not in a completely stable state of mind at the time.

But I’m fairly sure that what I saw was right.

That I’d seen people.

Really seen them.

Seen their inner workings, what made them tick, what made them work.

I’d seen all of it, during one, greatly enjoyed, week filled with alcohol, drugs and some of the most amazing people you’ll ever meet.
