He told me I looked good.
I didn’t believe him.
Maybe I should have.
He could have been the one.
The last one.
But I didn’t listen to him.
I didn’t believe him when he was telling the truth.
I told him he was going to have to show me he wanted me.
That he meant what he’d said.
And that was a mistake.
He didn’t want me that much.
At least not before he even got to know me.
