“I left”

I grew up in a place where I couldn’t be the person I was.

The person I am.

People would always tell me what I needed to do.

What I had to do.

But I didn’t want to do any of that.

I didn’t want the same life as they.

I didn’t.

I didn’t know of anything worse than being like them.

So one day I packed my bags and left.

And I’ve never looked back.
