“Pushing himself”

He was always pushing himself.

He always wanted to be better.

But he didn’t understand that he could only push himself so far before his body broke.

He didn’t understand that at some point he was doing more damage than good.

I tried to tell him.

Tell him that it wouldn’t end well.

But he didn’t listen.

He didn’t listen to my warnings.

He didn’t listen to anyone’s warnings.

That’s what I don’t like.

That he could have still been here.

Had he just listened.
