“I trusted him”

I believed what he said for a while.

Until he showed me his true colors.

Until the day came when I saw what he really was.

After that day I couldn’t believe a word he said.

He’d told me stories about the things he’d done.

All the good.

But he left out all the bad.

Making himself sound like a saint.

But he was no saint.

He had done bad.

And on that day I saw it.

On that day I saw what he really was.
