“I had to see it again”

I loved it more than anything else.

I loved it so much.

And one day it was gone.

They had taken it down.

Taken it down to build houses.

I couldn’t believe it.

I had lost something I loved.

Something I loved more than anything else in the world.

For what?

Houses?

I couldn’t believe it.

I didn’t want to believe it.

I went back there one more time.

Just one more.

I needed to see it where it had stood.

I needed to say goodbye.

“My time”

I saw them coming down as I lay on the ground.

I saw them coming for me.

I tried to move but something was holding me down.

I tried to scream but none would listen.

None could hear me.

I saw them coming closer.

Their wings surrounding me.

Creating a blinding light that I was unable to look away from.

Even as my eyes were burning I couldn’t look away.

I was mesmerized.

I stopped screaming.

I stop trying to move.

None would help me.

None could help me.

They had come for me.

It was time for me to leave.

It was time for me to go with them.

All I had to do was let go.

“I had to ask”

What I had to realize was that I wasn’t the only person in the world that was in the situation that I was in.

That there was help to get.

All I had to do was ask for it.

I had to ask for help.

Because there was help for me to get.

I wasn’t the only person who had done what I had done.

I wasn’t the only person who needed help.

I had to understand that.

I had to get that into my head.

There was help to get.

I only had to ask for it.

“Her perfect eyes”

I never saw someone like her before.

And I never saw someone like her again.

It was one night.

Just one.

And that was all we needed.

I saw her outside the bar.

Someone was talking to her.

She wasn’t interested in him.

I thought she was perfect.

But I didn’t want to talk up to her.

So I sat at the bar and drank.

Drank while looking at her.

At her body.

And her eyes.

Her perfect eyes.

As she entered the bar again she managed to ditch the annoying guy as she ordered a drink.

I watched her.

Now closer than ever.

She noticed me.

I looked away.

Scared of how she would react.

I thought she smiled, but I didn’t want to turn my head to look.

”What’s your name?” She asked me and I nearly choked on my drink.

That was the beginning of our night.

Just one night.

That was all it was.

And that was all we needed.
