“Their version”

Everyone has a different version of the story.

Of my story.

But only I know the truth.

And I want to keep out that way.

I don’t want them all to know what really happened.

I don’t.

There’s no reason for them to know.

None.

So I don’t tell them.

I don’t tell anyone my side of the story.

They wouldn’t even listen if I did.

They had their own version of what happened.

And that’s the only version they need.

The only one they’ll listen to.
