“I had to”

I saw him walking down the street.

He was wearing the same clothes as always.

I didn’t know if I should go and talk to him.

I didn’t know if he wanted me to speak to him.

I knew he told me to leave him alone.

I knew he didn’t want me there.

But I didn’t care.

I had to speak to him.

I had to know how he felt.

I had to.

As I walked up to him I saw he didn’t want me there.

He didn’t want to see me, he wasn’t ready.

But I had to see him.

I had to talk to him.

I had to know what he felt.

I had to.
