“Out of touch”

Everyone knew what it was.

Except me.

I hadn’t heard about it before.

I felt left out.

Like I was missing something.

So I did my best to get up to date.

I did everything I could so it wouldn’t look like I wasn’t one of them.

I had to know what it was.

I had to.

And when I finally knew everything about it something else had come out.

And I was out of touch once more.
