“I left”

I couldn’t do it.

I couldn’t watch it anymore.

She was destroying everything she’s built.

And I couldn’t watch it crumble.

I couldn’t watch her throw it all away.

Not when she had gotten so far.

I know I should have stayed.

I should have been there to help her through it.

But I couldn’t.

Maybe that was wrong of me.

I don’t know.

I just know that I couldn’t be there anymore.

I couldn’t watch it.

I didn’t want to watch it.

So I left.
