“Nothing was wrong”

Nothing was wrong.

Or so I thought.

Everything was as it should be.

I was very wrong.

I came home to an empty place and my illusion was shattered.

She had left me.

She had finally gotten the courage to do it.

At first, I didn’t understand.

I didn’t know why she had left.

Or where she had gone.

I thought there was nothing wrong.

I thought everything was good.

I thought we were the perfect couple.

I was wrong.

She knew something I didn’t at the time.

And she left.

Looking back I believe she did the right thing.

Though back then I didn’t understand why she had left.
