“Someone, anyone”

Kevin walked down the street hoping someone would be there.

Someone he could talk to.

Someone that cared.

He needed to be with someone.

He wanted to be with someone.

Kevin knew it was a delusion.

He knew there wasn’t anyone waiting for him back home.

None cared about him anymore.

None wanted anything to do with him.

But he kept his hopes up.

Because he knew that one day someone would be there.

Someone would want him.

Kevin knew he wouldn’t be alone forever.
