I knew nothing.
But I thought I knew everything.
I thought I knew what was going to happen.
I thought I knew everything that could happen.
But I was wrong.
Something else happened.
Something I never thought of.
But he did.
The man who caught me knew what was going to happen.
He knew it all along.
All he had to do was wait.
Wait for me to make a mistake.
Wait for my arrogance to get the better of me.
That was when I found out that I didn’t know anything.
It was a valuable lesson for me. A lesson I would have never learned had he not been there.
Been there to catch me.
And for that I am grateful.
I am, however, less grateful for begin thrown in jail.
