“Nothing could make it right”

Nothing I could say would make it right.

I had crossed a line this time.

And she had enough.

That was the final straw.

She wouldn’t put up with my shenanigans anymore.

And I didn’t blame her.

I knew I had done wrong.

I knew I should have changed a long time before if I wanted to keep her.

If I didn’t want her to leave.

But I didn’t change.

I stayed the same without regard for her.

For how she felt.

And I had to pay the price for that.

I tried to talk to her.

I tried to make it right.

But there was nothing I could do.

She had enough.

She didn’t want to be with a man-child anymore.

She wanted a man.

And I wasn’t one.
