“I’m sorry, mommy”

Tyler paced back and forth.

They would be coming soon.

Coming for him.

He knew there was nothing to do.

He knew they would get him.

And he knew he wouldn’t have time to hug his mother goodbye.

He needed to call her.

Call her when he was still at home.

Call her and tell her that he was sorry.

Sorry because they would never meet in the free world again.

She was so old. There was no way Tyler would out before her time was up.

He knew that.

And she would know that.

He had to call her.

All he needed was to hear her voice.

He knew she would be sad.

She would never forgive him this time.

But he had to tell her.

Before they came for him.

Tyler grabbed his phone and dialed her number.

Three tones passed before she answered.

”Mom” Tyler began ”I have something to tell you.”

”What’s wrong?”

”I’m sorry, mommy.” She already knew what he was going to say.

”You’re going away again? For how long?”

”Too long. I’m sorry mom” Tyler felt how tears streamed down his cheeks.

There was a knock on his door.

”I have to go now, mommy. I love you.”

”Goodbye,” She said an hung up.

Tyler walked over and answered his door, knowing that she would not see him again.

”I’m sorry, mommy” He sobbed to himself before the men put him in cuffs and dragged him to their car.
