For what it’s worth I don’t think I should have done it any differently.
I think the result would have been the same no matter what I, or we, did. She would have left either way.
So how did we get to that point?
Was it something I did or was it something she did?
It was a mix of both and something, further down, something deeper.
A couple can make mistakes, and they’ll forgive each other time and time again, as long as both make the mistakes, but we couldn’t. We held on to every little mistake the other did until finally it was eating us from the inside and poisoning our relationship.
That was how it ended. That was all. We just couldn’t keep from judging each other which eventually led us to hate.
Hate of each other.
Could we have done something differently?
I don’t think so.
In the end, she and I weren’t made for each other.
And there was nothing we could have done differently.
