Bad customer service

I don’t know if this next story can be counted as me being the stupid one but I still think it’s worth telling.

I was hurrying down to the store. Badly needing toilet paper.

I don’t think I have to describe the situation any more than that.

Anyway, I’m half jogging trying to get there. Praying that there wouldn’t be too many people in line.

Luckily when I got there I was the only one except for a couple of employees.

I headed towards the aisle with toilet paper and grabbed the first one that I could get. Then I hurried down towards the cashier.

I could feel sweat starting to form on my forehead.

The cashier stared at me when I put the paper in front of her. She didn’t say anything.

She waited for a couple of seconds before scanning it.

As she asked me how I wanted to pay I reached for my wallet and noticed that, in my hurry, I had forgotten my wallet.

I panic.

The cashier doesn’t seem to care.

I tell her that I had forgotten my wallet and that if I could only bring the paper with me home I would come back and pay for it.

She tells me that I have to pay for it. S

She can clearly see that I’m panicking at this moment.

I try saying that I could leave my watch if I could bring it with me.

Again she tells me that I have to pay.

I try telling her that I come here almost every day and that I will come back and pay if only I could bring the paper with me now.

She doesn’t allow me to take it.

I really need a bathroom at this point so I come up with the idea to use the employee bathroom.

I ask the cashier and she tells me that I can’t.

That was it.

I give up trying to ask her permission and I run past her into the staff room, into their bathroom and lock the door behind me.

As I’m sitting there taking care of my business I can hear angry voices on the other side of the door.

I leave the bathroom, feeling much better. I was met by the manager of the store telling me that I have to leave.

That was the story of how I got banned from my local grocery store.
